About: Ethical Cashmere from Pokhara
We are Yes Helping Hand, a social enterprise in Pokhara, Nepal. We knit three men's cashmere sweaters in our workshop at Damside-17, and we have been here since 2011.
In short: more than 180 artisans, one workshop in Pokhara, three sweaters. You buy directly from us on this site, pay by card through Stripe, and we ship your sweater from Pokhara.
Who we are
Dinesh Kumar Thapa started Yes Helping Hand in Pokhara in 2011 to create skilled, paid work for people who were often shut out of it. Today we work with more than 180 artisans, among them single mothers and differently-abled makers.
We make shawls, blankets and more alongside our sweaters. The longer story is on About Yes Helping Hand.
What we make
Our sweaters are 100% Grade A Himalayan cashmere, 12–16 micron. The fibre comes from Chyangra goats, Nepal's cashmere goat, herded above 3,000 m in Mustang, Manang and Dolpo. Every sweater is knitted in our Pokhara workshop.

Why only three sweaters
A crew neck, a V-neck and a quarter zip. These are the three men's sweaters we make well, so these are the three we sell. The crew comes in 14 colours, the V-neck in 13 and the quarter zip in one. Every size has its measurements in centimetres.
